Banyule City Council – Volunteer Awards
We were honoured to work with Banyule City Council to develop a new brand for their annual Volunteer Awards. A initiative that acknowledges and celebrates all that volunteers give – time, skill, commitment and care – to making the Banyule community and the lives of individuals better.
Scope of Work
Identity & Branding, Publications Design, Communications.
We worked closely with the key stakeholders at the Council to develop an identity that symbolised how the Volunteers create and grow a better community through the work that they do individually and collectively.
The design needed to bold, modern, fresh and install a sense of pride for all involved in volunteering in the community.
The unique identity we created represents volunteers as the backbone of the Banyule community. Whom individually and collectively, are ‘growing a better community’.
The tree’s roots symbolise foundation and the roots of the community, with the tree itself a symbol of enduring strength and support. The leaves are hands, as volunteers are always willing to lend a hand. The multiple colours of the design reflect diversity, not only of volunteers but the many areas of community life that they are involved in.
Completing The Story
The studio then undertook creating the marketing collateral for the impending launch of the new brand at the 2014 Awards Gala Dinner.
The collateral included the Awards Booklet, Presentation Folder, Award Certificates and Tickets to the Awards Gala Dinner Presentation.
