Built in 1924, this iconic destination has transformed from a traditional concept of a ‘general store’ to a culinary must for discerning travellers, locals and wine enthusiasts.
Our studio refreshed the brand & developed a responsive e-commerce digital presence for The Merricks General Wine Store reflecting the rustic country setting and rich historic connection to the store owned by the Myer family.

The Merricks General Wine Store approached Ennis & Perry to further develop the MGWS brand and design & build a responsive e-commerce website including developing the online strategy. The studio worked closely with the MGWS team providing a effective online solution for a diverse business.
The online solution for MGWS includes, Online cellar door and management system, Online produce shopping & management system, Bistro/Restaurant booking’s system, Vigneron’s Club & Member management alongside a full and easy to use content management system. The fully customised website is built on WordPress & Woo Commerce with member management & subscriptions managed through Campaign Monitor.
The studio worked with the Merricks General Wine Store on all aspects of developing the site and brand. From copywriting, photography, strategy through to design, build and training. The custom design and build for the Merricks General Wine Store only weeks after launch has seen a enormous growth in online traffic.
