Hotel Nest

The Brief

The old Red Eagle Hotel was a cultural cringe in Albert Park. We were approached with the question; '... keep the name or re-brand?' Rather than try to rebadge the existing venue, Hotel Nest was hatched. The owner’s brief was to create a European inspired, modern yet whimsical look and feel.

The Outcome

Ennis & Perry developed a new identity and brand that reflected the surrounding environment, as well as addressing the ownerʼs vision for the new establishment. Working closely with the architects, we also designed environmental graphics for the exterior and interiors. Our work for Hotel Nest has included brand and identity design, Interior graphics, illustrations, wayfinding, content managed websites, newsletter marketing and customer subscription database, along with press advertising.

    THE BRIEF

    Three years after opening, Hotel Nest had firmly established itself as a social hub of Melbourneʼs south side and they wanted their website to reflect the evolution and unique vitality of the venue.

    THE OUTCOME

    We created a whimsical and surreal experience that echoes the delightful spaces of the hotel. The new website also features incredible functionality with a custom-built content management system allowing control of online bookings, purchasing, enquiries and SMS notifications to members. We created specialised functions for the website, such as; • spaces suggestion feature • users can send private postcards • users can set up private events with personalised invites to invite friends • users can also link to Hotel Nestʼs Facebook and Twitter pages.
